Recently I was contacted by owners of Old School
Lane Blog, Patricia and Kevin, who requested an interview with me about my

He’s very interested in hearing what other Classic Nick fans
think about my interview with me so I’m asking all of you to PLEASE
comment about that interview here so that I can send your comments to him.
Yall, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. Mr. Mairs
is a very good link to 80’s Nickelodeon and it’s important that if he’s asking
for feedback that we all give it to him. Please my interview and comment here.
I have been looking all over for clips of the original, and wonder if he has any remaining as this show seems to have all but been erased without a trace. This is tragic, a remake could really fuel the creativity for kids just starting to write. If you could ask, I am very curious as to what has come of the other members of the group, what they are doing, etc. I was such a big fan of the show, and the songs were incredible. I remember Noisemaker Lane, Teddybear Teddybear, and Cave Secrets immediately. I don't have kids, but if I did I would definitely play this show for them. A remake would be an excellent idea.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment Steven, I feel exactly the same way. Almost every Saturday I post a thread called “In Search of Saturday” where I list the shows I've been looking for and Kids’ Writes is listed every week but I never get a response. The only thing I do have of the show are two, very old, cassette tapes with two of the shows on them but it’s not the same. I mean I listen to them and “see” it (good old 80’s imagination!) but it’s still not the same. I REALLY wish they would put it on DVD for us. And somewhere around the house I have a list of the shows on one of the tapes so when I finish I’m going to post the titles here on my blog and then go pot them to Wikipedia.
ReplyDeleteOkay so stories I remember, Noisemaker Lane, Eddie’s Disco Bar, Fishy Fishy and Monkey Shines.
Good news: Six "Kid's Writes" episodes were uploaded to YouTube about a month ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdmprC9CXxc
ReplyDelete"Guitar Contest" in episode 2 is pretty great!
OH MY GOODNESS, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! I haven’t seen them in over 30 years! This is so amazing, thank you for posting the link for us!
