With fall now upon us and the days getting
cooler it’s nice to be able to settle in with a classic film and a hot cup of
tea and this 1960’s thriller starring Doris Day and Rex Harrison certainly
lives up to that scenario.
Picture yourself living on Grosvenor Square in
London and returning home in a dense fog. Then from out of the fog you hear an eerie,
electronic-like voice calling you by name threatening to kill you within the
month, tormenting you as you run to escape!
That’s exactly what happens to newlywed Kit
Preston (Doris Day) one evening on her way home. Terrified she confides in her
husband Tony (Rex Harrison) who tries to convince her that she has been the
victim of a practical joker and suggests they travel to Venice for the
honeymoon they never had.
